Feeding Hikari Frozen Bloodworm in Singapore Tanks
Frozen bloodworm is one of the most reliable conditioning foods we stock, and Hikari’s version is cleaned and frozen to reduce the disease risk that comes with live bloodworm. It is rich, protein-heavy and almost universally accepted, which makes it ideal for tempting picky eaters, fattening up breeding pairs, or adding variety to bettas, tetras, rasboras, gouramis and most community fish that thrive in our warm local tanks.
Treat it as a supplement rather than a staple. Thaw a portion in a little tank water first, drain off the juices to keep nitrates down, then feed only what the fish clear in a couple of minutes. In Singapore’s heat, never refreeze a thawed cube and keep the pack frozen solid right up to feeding time, as our warm kitchens spoil thawed food fast. A varied diet rotated through the week keeps colour and condition up.
For portioning and rotation ideas, see our frozen fish food guide and our notes on freeze-dried versus frozen food. Browse the full general fish food range to build a balanced menu.
