HIKARI Sinking Wafers for corydoras and loaches in SG
Sinking Wafers are made for the bottom crew, and in Singapore that usually means corydoras, kuhli loaches, clown loaches and small plecos working the substrate of a planted community tank. The wafers drop straight to the bottom and hold together, so the slow, methodical foragers down there get a proper meal instead of losing out to faster mid-water fish at feeding time. The reduced wafer size suits the smaller corys most local keepers stock.
The classic problem in our warm 27-29C community tanks is that surface and mid-water fish strip the food before it reaches the substrate. Dropping a wafer or two after the lights dim, or near where your corys hang out, makes sure they actually eat. Put in only what is cleared within a few minutes, because in a planted tank uneaten food rotting under the carpet fuels algae and pushes up nitrate between water changes.
Our bottom feeder guide covers keeping catfish and loaches well fed, and our community tank fish guide helps with balanced stocking. Browse more diets in our general fish food range.
