Shirakura Ebi Dama Soft for Gentle Grazing

Ebi Dama Soft is the softer-textured version of Shirakura’s popular shrimp pellet. The gentler consistency lets shrimp rasp at it more easily and softens faster in water, which some keepers prefer for smaller or younger colonies that struggle with a harder dama. As a shrimp food it suits Caridina and Neocaridina tanks where you want the whole colony, not just the largest shrimp, getting a share.

Feed a small piece and watch the shrimp cluster onto it. Because the soft pellet breaks down sooner, we suggest removing leftovers a little earlier than you would the firm version, especially in our warm 27 to 29C water where organic matter decays fast. Spotting it on a feeding dish keeps your substrate clean and helps you avoid the overfeeding that nudges TDS and triggers pest snails.
