MINI WAFERS MIX sinking wafers with astaxanthin and spirulina for bottom feeding fish and crustaceans. Small, multi-ingredient, sinking green and red wafers, intended for everyday feeding of bottom feeding omnivorous fish such as algae eaters, loaches, loricariids, Corydoras, and freshwater and marine crustaceans.
Red wafers are the source of natural astaxanthin and beta-glucan – a strong immune stimulator, which increases fish’s resistance to diseases. Green wafers contain spirulina and fibre which regulate digestion. The wafers do not disintegrate in water (they retain their texture and do not fall apart, when soaked), which makes crustaceans’ feeding much easier.
In case of suckermouth and rasping fish, which scrap food from hard surfaces, it allows feeding close to fish’s habits presented in the wild.
Mini Wafers Mix: a sinking staple for shrimp and small bottom feeders
The small green-and-red wafers here pair spirulina with astaxanthin, so a single food covers both the vegetable side that algae-grazers need and the colour-supporting carotenoids that brighten red shrimp and small loricariids. The compact size suits nano bottom feeders, Corydoras, loaches and the dwarf shrimp colonies that are hugely popular in Singapore’s space-conscious nano tanks.
Because the wafers stay intact instead of crumbling, shrimp can swarm and graze one for a long sitting without fogging the water, which matters in the small volumes many HDB and condo keepers run where one fouled feed swings parameters fast. Drop one piece onto a feeding dish, watch the colony work it, and lift any leftovers before they feed pest planaria. Lean, frequent feeding keeps a colony breeding steadily.
