Soft Line America targets omnivorous and carnivorous fish roughly 6 to 12cm, the bracket that covers many popular South and Central American community and cichlid species. The herring and insect base provides quality animal protein, while the soft texture is easier to take and assimilate than a hard, dense pellet.

Soft granules also swell less and stay intact, which matters in our warm tanks where rapidly disintegrating food clouds the water and feeds nuisance algae. Because these fish feed in mid-water and at the bottom, a sinking granule reaches them where they naturally forage. We recommend feeding what your fish clear in a couple of minutes, once or twice daily, and watching that shy tank mates get their share before the bolder ones clean up.
