How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

  1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
  2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
  3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping Red Oranda Goldfish in Singapore Conditions

The Red Oranda is one of the friendliest fancy goldfish to start with, and we acclimatise ours carefully before they reach you. In Singapore the main thing to plan for is heat: our 27-29C ambient sits at the top of the comfortable goldfish range, so a well-oxygenated tank with strong surface movement matters more here than a heater ever will. Warmer water holds less dissolved oxygen, so air-driven flow and regular maintenance keep these round-bodied fish breathing easy.

Give an Oranda room. Their bulky shape and the prized head growth (the wen) mean they produce a heavy bioload, so we suggest generous filtration and weekly water changes using dechlorinated tap water. Avoid sharp ornaments that can tear delicate fins, and skip aggressive or fin-nipping tankmates. Feed a sinking pellet rather than only floating flake, which helps reduce the swim-bladder issues fancy varieties are prone to when they gulp air at the surface.

Browse the full goldfish livestock range, and before they arrive read our goldfish care guide, the fancy goldfish varieties guide, and our tank mates guide.
