The “SUPER RED” tuning weights the spectrum toward red and warm tones, which is exactly what hobbyists chasing rich rotala, ludwigia and other red stems are after. Over a standard 2-foot tank, this 60cm bar can deepen reds that look washed out under cooler, bluer lights. We see it picked most for display planted tanks where colour is the whole point of the scape.

Spectrum alone will not turn plants red, though. In Singapore’s warm, soft tap water you also need adequate iron, balanced nutrients, decent light intensity and usually CO2 to coax out the deepest colour.
