Replacement Ballast for Twinstar Series I Light Units

The Twinstar’s external ballast is the part that takes the abuse: it sits on the floor of a humid cabinet, runs daily, and is the first thing to fail when a unit goes dark while the LED bar itself is fine. This Version 1 ballast is the correct replacement for the original Twinstar I range, covering the 12V 4A 300E, 350E, 300C and 600C, the 12V 4A 450E and 600E, the 12V 5A 600S and the 12V 6A 900E. Match your model and amperage exactly before ordering.

Before assuming the worst, check the obvious: a tripped strip, a flaky barrel connector, or condensation in the plug. In Singapore’s humidity we see ballasts placed inside closed stands suffer most, so give yours airflow and keep it off the cabinet floor where the odd spill collects. Swapping a ballast is a plug-and-play job once you’ve confirmed the LED bar still lights on a known-good supply, and it saves replacing an otherwise perfectly good fixture over a cheap power component.
