The CA-L4 is a 7W USB-powered LED desk lamp suited to small fish tanks, succulents, bonsai and nano planted jars. At 7W it pushes a little more light than the smallest USB lamps, so Singapore hobbyists with a desk nano or a shallow planted bowl get usable growth without wiring in a mains fixture. For a planted nano, we recommend matching the light to easy-going species and running it on a fixed photoperiod, since steady hours beat long ones. In our warm climate, leaving a light on too long over 27-29C water invites algae quickly, so a timer pays off. Position the lamp to spread evenly across the tank and raise or lower it to balance brightness against the plants you are keeping.
