Sizing the Week Aqua L lighting bracket for your tank

This Week Aqua L bracket raises your light off the rim on a pair of adjustable arms, and it comes in lengths to span 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180cm tanks. We recommend brackets like these for open-top and rimless setups where you want the fixture held securely above the water but easy to slide aside for maintenance. The arms accommodate glass up to 16mm thick, so they suit the heavier rimless tanks many local aquascapers now run.

Choosing the right model matters: each length quotes a span range, so measure your tank’s outer width and pick the bracket whose range comfortably covers it rather than guessing. Lifting the light around 530mm above the rim spreads it more evenly across a planted layout and reduces hotspot glare. In our humid climate, getting the fixture up off the glass also keeps it away from constant splash and condensation, which helps the electronics last in a busy SG fish room.
