Lighting an SG planted tank with the ZETLIGHT ZT6300 QMAVEN 96W

This 96W planted fixture suits tanks up to around 70cm, a common footprint in HDB flats, and the five-period scheduling lets you build a natural sunrise-to-sunset curve. That gradual ramp is genuinely useful with our warm, nutrient-rich tap water, because a hard on-off cycle at full intensity tends to trigger algae before plants settle in. The added red LEDs help bring out colour in stem plants and warm up the daytime look.

For a low-tech scape we usually suggest a shorter, gentler photoperiod and stepping intensity up only once plants are visibly growing. High-tech CO2 setups can run brighter, but only if your dosing and flow keep pace. The smart fan and slim profile help with heat and keep the fixture unobtrusive over a living-room tank where you do not want bulky hardware on show.
