Description

Highly nutritious feed for all ornamental small fish. Contains Calanus finmarchicus, which is rich in amino acids. Thanks to the high levels of EPA, DHA, SDA, and algae fatty acids it is an excellent supplement to all marine fish diets. The feed is placed on a clip that can be hung in any part of the aquarium giving the fish the freedom to swim and eat freely. AF Calanidae Clip is the perfect solution for fish that are required to learn to eat dry feed – eg Synchiropus splendidus (Mandarinfish), chelmon rostratus (Copperband butterflyfish). Product intended for aquarium use only. Not suitable for human consumption. Keep away from children.
Ingredients: fishmeal, gum arabic, seaweed, soya meal, calanus, sepiolite, potato starch, sodium alginate, spirulina, ascorbic acid (source of vit. C), cholecalciferol, vitamin a acetate (source of vit. A), tocoferol acetate (source of vit. E), ferrous sulfate monohydrate, zinc oxide, manganese oxide, potassium iodide, copper sulfate pentahydrate.

Coaxing Fussy Marine Fish to Eat with AF Calanidae Clip

The AF Calanidae Clip is a nutritious feed built around Calanus finmarchicus, a copepod rich in amino acids and the fatty acids EPA, DHA and SDA that ornamental marine fish thrive on. What sets it apart is the clip-mounted format, which lets you hang it anywhere in the tank so fish can pick at it naturally over time. We find it genuinely useful for the tricky eaters local reefers love but struggle to settle, the kinds that often refuse dry food at first.

It is a smart bridging feed for species like the mandarin dragonet and copperband butterflyfish, helping nervous new arrivals associate the tank with food and gradually accept prepared diets. Hang the clip in a calmer, lower-flow spot so timid fish feel safe approaching, and remove any uneaten portion before it fouls the water. Used alongside a varied diet, it is a helpful tool for getting difficult fish established.
