How To Safely Add Fish To Tank
- Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
- Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
- Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.
Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.
Blue Paradise Fish: A Hardy Choice for Singapore
The Blue Paradise Fish is one of the toughest ornamental fish we stock, a labyrinth species closely related to the gourami that can breathe atmospheric air. That makes it remarkably forgiving of lower-oxygen water, which is handy during our warm months when dissolved oxygen drops in unfiltered or lightly stocked tanks. The blue-barred body and flowing fins give it real presence, and it can even be kept in unheated setups.
Their air-breathing ability means a tight-fitting lid is important, as they will gulp at the surface and can jump. Males are territorial and can be aggressive toward each other and toward smaller, slow tankmates, so plan stocking with care and provide plenty of plants and decor to break sightlines. In our warm 27-29C ambient they thrive heaterless, and they tolerate the soft, slightly acidic water our tap supply leans toward.
