ADA Bottom Release

Please inject the additional nutrition deeply in the substrate so that it can provide the supplement for roots effectively.

ADA Bottom Release for Deep Substrate Dosing

Bottom Release is the applicator tool that pairs with ADA’s Iron Bottom and Multi Bottom fertilisers, letting you inject nutrients deep into the substrate exactly where roots can use them. We recommend it for hobbyists running detailed planted scapes who want to feed root-heavy plants without uprooting them or dumping fertiliser into the water column where algae would benefit instead. It places the supplement precisely at depth, which is far cleaner than pushing tabs in by hand.

In a mature local tank, targeted root dosing keeps demanding plants fed while sparing the water column, which helps keep algae in check in our warm, growth-friendly conditions. Insert the tool gently to avoid clouding the tank or disturbing the carpet, and work methodically around the bed near the hungriest plants.
