An egg tumbler lets you rescue and hatch eggs from a berried female that has died, dropped her clutch, or aborted under stress, situations that happen often enough in the hobby to make this a worthwhile bit of kit. Gentle water flow keeps the eggs suspended and oxygenated, mimicking the constant fanning a healthy mother provides, so a clutch that would otherwise fungus and fail gets a real chance to develop and hatch.

It earns its keep with higher-value lines such as Caridina pintos or bolts, where every shrimplet counts. Set it on a sponge filter or air line so the tumble is just enough to roll the eggs without battering them, and keep an eye on flow as our warm tanks speed up both development and any fungus on unfertilised eggs.
