How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

  1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
  2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
  3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Tiger Shrimp Care in Singapore Tanks

Tiger shrimp are a rewarding Caridina species that we find sit between hardy neocaridina and the fussier crystal lines in terms of demands. They appreciate cooler, stable water with a slightly acidic, soft profile, which means many Singapore keepers run them on remineralised RO rather than straight tap so they can control GH and TDS precisely. A mature, well-cycled tank with biofilm and plenty of moss gives them grazing surfaces and security.

In our climate, summer heat is the main risk: as water drifts toward 30C these shrimp become stressed and moulting can go wrong, so a small chiller or fan helps during hot spells. Go slow with acclimation, since shrimp are far more sensitive to sudden parameter swings than fish. Avoid copper-based treatments entirely, keep stocking light, and let a colony establish gradually before expecting consistent breeding.

Browse our wider shrimp selection, and read our drip acclimation guide for shrimp together with our RO remineralisation guide to dial in their water before they arrive.
