Yellow Rili Shrimp for Singapore Aquariums
The Yellow Rili pairs a warm, sunny yellow with clear glass segments, a cheerful contrast that pops against dark substrate and green moss. As a Neocaridina davidi morph it carries the same easygoing temperament as cherry shrimp, grazing biofilm and soft algae across plants and hardscape all day. The rili pattern varies between individuals, so a colony gives you a satisfying mix to select and breed from over time.
These are well suited to beginners in our climate. Ambient 27-29C means many SG tanks run without a heater, and a densely planted layout keeps food and cover available around the clock. Treat our soft, chloraminated tap water before each change, keep parameters stable, and steer clear of copper-containing medications or fertilisers, which shrimp tolerate very poorly.
Find the rest of our colony in the shrimp range. New keepers should start with our cherry shrimp care guide, and add some good plants for a shrimp tank to give them grazing surfaces from day one.
