ANS Naturesand Tropic Oasis for a Warm Biotope Base

Tropic Oasis is a natural-tone sand built to recreate a tropical riverbed, with warm earthy colouring that suits driftwood-heavy and blackwater-style scapes. It works well for tropical community fish and shrimp and pairs naturally with the soft, slightly acidic water that most Singapore tanks run on. Sold in 1kg portions for nano tanks and 5kg for larger layouts, you can dose the depth and footprint your scape calls for.

As an inert sand it leaves your water chemistry untouched, so your parameters stay where your source water and dosing set them rather than being buffered. Wash it thoroughly before use, swirling and decanting until the runoff is clear, to avoid hazing a freshly filled tank. The warm tone marries especially well with the tea-coloured water of a botanical setup, giving a soft, naturalistic mood.
