Description

Carefully selected classic Oiso sand. It is a natural raw material with little contamination. You can use it with confidence for general breeding of tropical fish, goldfish, killifish, aquatic plants, etc. Water quality is also easy to stabilize, can be used many times by washing. Does not effect the pH & kH.

Sand size: Coarse (approx. 5mm)
Ideal as bottom sand for aquatic plants, freshwater fish, goldfish, medaka, etc
Please wash this product thoroughly before placing it in the aquarium.

[Guideline for use]

For a 30cm aquarium (approximately 15L), 1kg to 3kg

For a 45cm aquarium (approximately 35L), 3kg to 6kg

For a 60cm aquarium (approximately 60L), 6kg to 10kg

JUN Oiso Sand (L) Coarse Grade for Singapore Tanks

Oiso Sand is a natural, low-contamination raw material, and the L grade’s coarse roughly 5mm grain is the choice when you want a chunkier, more textured floor. Crucially it is inert, leaving pH and KH untouched, so it suits keepers who would rather control water chemistry separately. That matters in Singapore, where soft tap water means an inert base lets you decide whether to buffer up for hard-water fish or leave things as they are.

The coarser grain resists compaction and keeps detritus sitting on top where a gravel vacuum can lift it, which makes maintenance simpler in a busy household tank. It is washable and reusable, so a thorough rinse before use clears any fines and clouding. It works well for goldfish, killifish, general community fish and rooted plants, though very fine-rooted carpets prefer a smaller grain.
