SUDO Bottom Sand for Cory Tanks in Singapore

We stock the SUDO S-8815 and S-8816 bottom sand for hobbyists running corydoras, kuhli loaches and other base-dwellers here in Singapore. The grains are rounded and fine, so soft-bellied catfish can sift and burrow without scuffing their barbels, which is exactly the behaviour you want to see in a healthy cory shoal. Because it is inert, it suits our naturally soft, slightly acidic tap water without nudging hardness or pH in either direction.

The 800g pack is sized for nano and shrimp tanks common in HDB flats, while the 5kg bag covers a standard three-foot tank with a shallow, easy-to-clean layer. We suggest 2-3cm depth so detritus stays on the surface for siphoning. Rinse it well before adding, and keep gentle flow over the bed so mulm doesn’t compact in our warm 27-29C water where bacteria stay very active.
