How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping Blue Emperor Tetra in Singapore

The Blue Emperor Tetra carries a striking iridescent blue lateral stripe that catches the light beautifully in a well-planted tank. It is a peaceful, modestly sized shoaler that does best in a group, where the males display and their colours intensify against one another. Dark substrate and a planted backdrop bring out that electric blue far more than a bare, brightly lit setup, which is worth keeping in mind when you plan the layout.

Like most South American tetras it favours the soft, slightly acidic water that Singapore’s tap supply naturally leans towards once conditioned, and our warm ambient temperatures suit it without a heater. Keep flow gentle, dim the lighting or float some plants to encourage confidence, and house it with similarly calm community fish. As always, quarantine and acclimatise new arrivals slowly to spare them the stress of an abrupt parameter change.
