How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping the Lemon Cichlid (Neolamprologus leleupi) in Singapore

The Lemon Cichlid is a small, brilliantly yellow Tanganyikan that brings intense colour to a rockwork-heavy tank without the bulk of larger cichlids. We rate it for SG keepers with limited HDB or condo floor space, since a modest footprint packed with caves and stacked stone gives this territorial little fish everything it needs to claim a patch and show its best colour.

Like other Rift Lake species it evolved in hard, alkaline water, the opposite of our soft, slightly acidic chloraminated tap supply, so buffering the GH and KH upward and dechlorinating properly are the two jobs we never skip. Our year-round 27-29C ambient temperature suits leleupi nicely and usually removes any need for a heater. Feed varied meaty and prepared foods, and watch for squabbles in cramped quarters.
