About the product:
Tropical Biorept W Young is a multi-ingredient food in the form of floating sticks for daily feeding of young omnivorous and carnivorous semi-aquatic and aquatic turtles.
Contains Hermetia illucens larvae, which have a favorable calcium/phosphorus ratio and high mineral assimilation.
Crustaceans enrich the food with valuable protein, chitin and unsaturated fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6)
High hydrostability of the sticks prevents releasing the nutrients into the water
The ingredients of the food match the natural diet of aquatic and semi-aquatic turtles
The tin, cap and label are fully recyclable
Biorept W Young Small Sticks for Hatchling Turtles
This small-stick version of Biorept W is sized for young aquatic and semi-aquatic turtles, with Hermetia larvae adding protein, minerals and vitamins to meet the nutritional needs of fast-growing hatchlings. The compact floating sticks let you control portions precisely, which is important with juveniles that grow quickly and benefit from steady, measured feeding rather than occasional large meals.
Young turtles eat more often than adults, but they also produce a lot of waste for their size. In Singapore’s warm 27-29C tanks that waste degrades quickly, so feed small amounts a few times daily and net out anything uneaten. Good basking warmth, appropriate lighting and clean, well-filtered water all work together with the food to support healthy shell and bone growth.
As the turtle grows, move it onto larger sticks or an adult formula. Our turtle filtration guide covers keeping hatchling water clean, while the map turtle care guide is a handy local reference. Browse more options in our turtle and reptile range.
