Axolotl Sticks for Singapore Amphibian Keepers

These high-protein sinking sticks are formulated for axolotls and other aquatic amphibians that feed on animal matter at the bottom. Axolotls are messy, deliberate eaters that locate food largely by smell and movement, so a sinking stick that holds together and lands within reach suits them far better than floating flakes. Drop a few near the animal and remove anything left over to keep the water clean.

Axolotls are a cool-water species, and Singapore’s ambient 27-29C is genuinely too warm for them long term, so a chiller or a dedicated cool spot is essential to keep them below the low-20s. Warmth stresses them, suppresses appetite and invites infection, so feed lightly and watch closely if temperatures creep up during the day. Younger animals eat more often than adults.

Always supplement pellets with live or frozen foods that axolotls naturally take. Our Singapore axolotl care guide covers chiller setups and our cold-water axolotl tank guide covers safe hardscape. Browse related foods in our turtle and reptile range.
