Description
Aquaforest TestPro Ca is designed to quickly measure the calcium content in the marine aquariums, freshwater aquariums, ponds or water reservoirs.
In order to ensure the proper functioning of the marine aquarium calcium levels should be maintained in the range 380-460 mg/l (ppm).
The set contains enough reagents to perform 55-65 determinations of calcium levels.

Testing calcium with the AF Calcium Test Kit
You cannot dose calcium responsibly without knowing where you stand, and the AF Calcium Test Kit gives reefers a reliable titration-style reading to work from. We recommend it for marine keepers who want to hold calcium in the 380-460 ppm band that corals depend on for skeletal growth. The kit’s reference solution is a nice touch, letting you sanity-check your technique so you trust the numbers you are dosing against.
In our experience, the most common testing mistake in Singapore tanks is rushing the drop count or reading colour change under poor lighting. We tell customers to test at a consistent time, work over a white background, and add reagent slowly near the endpoint. Reagents also degrade faster in our heat, so store the kit somewhere cool and dry rather than beside a warm sump or sunny window.
It belongs in our water testing and care range. For accurate results, read our water testing mistakes guide and, if you are comparing options, our roundup of the best aquarium calcium test kits.
