Description

Supplement contains concentrated molybdenum. It occurs naturally in seawater and participates in the transformation and binding of nitrogen, proteins biosynthesis and the biosynthesis of vitamin C. Molybdenum deficiency results in growth slowdown or its complete inhibition.
Dosage:
1 ml of the product increases the molybdenum level by 0.001 mg/l (ppm) in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water. Recommended level: 0.0045 – 0.012 mg/l (ppm). Please remember, that maximum safe daily dose is 2 ml per 100 litres of water. If you need a higher dose, split it into a few days. Dosage should be based on microelements consumption. Note, that each aquarium is different and final dosage depends on the coral cast and individual aquarium needs. Both, deficiency and excess micronutrients will affect aquarium inhabitants, therefore dosage should be selected and modified on the basis of regular Aquaforest Lab water tests.

***You may find out whether your aquarium water contains harmful substances or needs supplementation through this AF ICP Test 1 and understand more about Aquaforest Lab for your corals.

Replenishing Molybdenum With Aquaforest Molybdenum LAB On A Reef

This 200ml Molybdenum LAB lets Singapore reefers top up a trace element that quietly supports nitrogen processing, protein building and vitamin C synthesis in marine life. Molybdenum sits at very low concentrations in seawater, so it’s rarely a hobbyist’s first thought, yet a genuine deficiency can slow or stall coral growth. We position it as a targeted supplement for established systems where ICP results, not guesswork, have flagged a shortfall.

As with every single-element bottle, the watchword is moderation. The dose is tiny and the safe daily maximum is low, so we always advise raising it gradually across several days rather than correcting in one hit. In our warm 27-29C tanks chemistry shifts quickly, which makes a slow, tested approach safer for your corals. Re-test after dosing so you can confirm you’ve actually moved the number toward the recommended range.

See more in our water testing and care range, and we’d suggest reading our reef trace element dosing guide plus our trace dosing walkthrough before you add molybdenum.
