Cryptocoryne Axelrodi is a lovely Cryptocoryne species that provides a classic look with narrow leaves that are a rich greenish-brown hue in coloration. With growth dependent on environmental factors, Cryptocoryne Axelrodi is a good choice for mid ground coverage in an aquascape layout that uses a nutrient-dense aqua soil as Cryptocoryne is a heavy root feeding genus. Cryptocoryne Axelrodi Care for Singapore Aquascapers

Cryptocoryne Axelrodi offers a classic crypt look with narrow, pointed leaves in rich greenish-brown tones, giving lovely texture and contrast against broader-leaved plants. Supplied as a tissue-culture cup, it arrives clean and pest-free, perfect for the shrimp and nano tanks that fill Singapore’s apartments. We recommend it as a dependable mid-ground filler that knits a scape together over time, its slender foliage softening the gaps between hardscape and showier feature plants.

Axelrodi is a heavy root feeder, so plant it into a nutrient-dense aqua soil for the best results; the roots draw most of what it needs. It grows at a moderate pace under low to medium light and does not require CO2 injection, which suits low-tech local setups. Our 27-29C ambient water needs no chiller, and our soft tap water is fine once dechlorinated. As with all crypts, avoid moving it once settled, since disturbance can trigger temporary melt.
