Limnophila Aromatica (Pot) for SG Background Planting

We carry Limnophila aromatica for the back of the tank, where its feathery whorls and purple-tinged undersides add height and a soft, textured backdrop. It is a fast grower in our Singapore tanks, drawing up excess nutrients and helping keep algae in check during a tank’s early weeks. The warm 27-29C ambient suits it fully submerged without a chiller, and it responds quickly to good light, rewarding you with denser, more colourful growth as the stems reach for the surface.

Plant the stems a few centimetres apart so light and flow reach the lower leaves, and top up CO2 to bring out the best colour and tighter internodes. As a fast stem it needs regular trimming; cut and replant the healthiest tops to build a fuller, bushier stand over time. Our chloraminated tap water suits it once dechlorinated, and lean nitrogen with strong light helps the purple tones develop more vividly.
