ANS Stainless Mesh Plate for Tying Moss

This rust-free stainless mesh, sold in 5×5, 8×8 and 20×8 sizes, is the workhorse base for growing flat carpets of moss and attaching small epiphytes. We sandwich a thin, even layer of moss between two plates, or tie strands across a single sheet with thread, then lay it on substrate or fix it to hardscape. As the moss roots through the holes it knits into a tidy mat you can lift, trim and reposition, far neater than letting loose moss drift.

The stainless construction means it will not rust and stain your scape over time, which matters in our humid climate and in tanks that run for years. One practical caution from us: the cut edges can be genuinely sharp, so handle the plates carefully and consider folding or filing any exposed corners before they go near silicone seams or your hands during a rescape.
