Growing Didiplis Diandra in Singapore aquascapes

Didiplis Diandra is a fine-leaved stem plant prized for the reddish-orange tips it develops at the crown under strong light. We treat it as a demanding but rewarding background-to-midground plant: it rewards bright lighting, CO2 injection, and a nutrient-rich substrate with dense, colourful bushes, but tends to thin and pale when starved. Grouping several stems closely gives the full, feathery thicket aquascapers chase for nature-style layouts.

Supplied as a clean tissue-culture portion, it arrives algae and pest free, ideal for shrimp tanks. Rinse the gel, separate small clusters, and expect some initial conversion melt before submerged growth takes over. Our soft, slightly acidic Singapore tap water suits it once dechlorinated, and stable CO2 keeps the colour vivid. At ambient 27-29C it needs no heater, though steady flow helps deliver nutrients evenly across the stems in a warm tank.
