Placing the biOrb Flower Ball in your aquarium

The biOrb Flower Ball takes its cue from the slow-growing moss species of Japanese Zen gardens, giving a rounded green form that adds calm, sculptural interest to any biOrb. At around 11cm wide it suits both compact and larger tanks, and the internal weighting means it simply sits where you place it and stays put in the gentle bubble circulation rather than rolling or floating off.

We often use one as a soft counterpoint to angular hardscape, nestled near the base of an ornament or among pebbles to break up straight lines. Compatible with freshwater, tropical and saltwater setups, it is inert and unaffected by Singapore’s 27 to 29C ambient, so the colour holds year-round. A quick rinse in old tank water during your water change keeps it from collecting the algae film that warm conditions encourage.
