biOrb LIFE 15 (MCR) for Singapore Homes and Desks
The LIFE 15 is the biOrb we most often recommend for a first tank or a desk in a compact HDB or condo. At 29 x 19.3 x 40.7cm it has a tall, narrow footprint that fits a console or office corner, and the acrylic body is far lighter and more shatter-resistant than glass, which matters when you are carrying it up to a high-rise unit. The kit arrives complete with pump, filter cartridge, conditioner and bacteria, so you can start cycling the same day.
In our 27-29C climate a 15-litre acrylic tank runs comfortably without a heater for hardy room-temperature fish, which keeps both cost and clutter down. We do urge patience: dose the included beneficial bacteria, treat tap water for chloramine, and let the filter mature before stocking lightly. The MCR light’s day-and-night cycles look striking in a dim living room, and the seamless rectangular frame in black, white or clear suits most interiors.
