How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

  1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
  2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
  3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping Super Schwartzi Corydoras (CW28) in Singapore

The Super Schwartzi Corydoras, CW28, is a striking patterned cory prized by collectors for its bold markings, and like its relatives it is a very peaceful bottom-dweller that does best in a group. Keep at least six together; corys are social shoalers and a lone individual tends to hide and feed poorly. They forage constantly across the substrate, so a soft sand or fine smooth gravel bottom is important to protect their sensitive barbels from wearing down over time.

Our soft, slightly acidic Singapore tap water suits this species once dechlorinated for chloramine, and the 27-29C ambient in most local homes means a heater is often unnecessary for them. On arrival, rest the closed bag for thirty minutes, float it to equalise temperature, then drip or mix tank water in gradually over the next half hour before netting them into the tank rather than tipping in transport water.
