The CADE River S2 1200 for Singapore Aquascapers

The CADE River S2 1200 is a rimless open-top freshwater aquarium aimed squarely at the planted-tank and aquascaping crowd, measuring 120cm long, 65cm deep and 60cm tall. The open top is a deliberate choice: it lets pendant lighting sit high for an even spread, makes trimming and replanting easy, and suits emergent plants and tall stems. Built to a high standard with clean minimalist lines, it reads as furniture in a contemporary HDB or condo living room.

An open-top tank does evaporate faster in our warm, humid flats, so plan for regular top-offs with dechlorinated water to keep parameters steady, and consider an auto top-off for convenience. The 60cm height gives real depth for layered hardscape, but it also means more weight, so site it over a load-bearing line and use a matched cabinet to spread the load. Our soft, slightly acidic tap water suits most planted set-ups well.
