Description
This is a scraper to remove algae on the aquarium glass surface. Its handle can be extended with an optional Extender for the use in a large size tank. Also, Pro Razor Mini is for small tank and narrow space of aquarium. The replacement of blade is necessary once it is getting hard to remove algae.
Replacement Blades for the ADA Pro Razor Mini
A scraper is only as good as its edge, and in Singapore’s warm tanks where algae cements onto glass quickly, a dull blade means you press harder and risk scratching the panel. This two-piece set keeps your Pro Razor Mini cutting cleanly. We tell customers to swap the blade the moment scraping starts to feel like dragging rather than slicing, which for busy display tanks can be every few months of regular maintenance.
Handle the spare blades carefully, as they are genuinely sharp and easy to mishandle when wet. Store the unused piece dry, since our humidity will dull and spot an exposed edge over time. Always confirm you are using the blade flat against the glass on every pass, and retire a chipped edge immediately rather than working around it, because a nicked corner is what scratches rimless tanks.
Keep spares on hand alongside your other tools in cleaning-maintenance. For technique that extends each blade’s life, see our algae scraper blade notes and the wider green dust algae removal guide.
