The UP Aqua D-518 Mini Bubble Counter on a Nano Setup
A bubble counter is how you actually read your CO2 dosing, and this mini version is sized for the smaller regulators and nano planted tanks that suit cramped SG flats. Sitting inline between your regulator and diffuser, it gives you a clear, repeatable bubbles-per-second count so you can set a consistent injection rate and reproduce it after every cylinder swap or maintenance session. The compact body tucks neatly behind a nano tank without crowding the cabinet.
We always remind customers that bubble count is a starting reference, not a final measurement, since bubble size varies between units. Pair it with a drop checker to confirm the dissolved CO2 your plants are actually seeing, and back the gas off at night when plants stop consuming it, which protects livestock in our warm 27-29C water where dissolved oxygen already runs lower. Fill it with water or mineral oil per your preference and check the seals so gas does not bypass the chamber.
