Description
Argusol treats Fish lice (Argulus), anchor worm (Lernaea) and other crustacean parasites. Concentrated formula , 5ml treat 182L
When to use :
When fish have large external parasites, Argusol is an easy-to-use suspension of diflubenzuron, a powerful anti- crustacean medication.
How to use
Test your water quality.
Shake the bottle well before use. Mix the appropriate dosage in a bucket of clean pond water, pour evenly over the surface of the pond and leave for 7 days. Switch off UV filtration for 10 days from adding the medication. Aerate the pond well during treatment.
If you feel a repeat dose is necessary, check your diagnosis carefully using the Diagnosis Tool; a different medication may be more suitable. Allow 7 days after medicating and perform a partial water change before re- treating or treating with another medication.
Always treat when you have time to observe fish and take appropriate action in the unlikely event of a bad reaction.

NT Labs Argusol for fish lice and anchor worm
Visible crustacean parasites like fish lice and anchor worm are a recurring headache for Singapore koi keepers, often hitching a ride on newly bought fish or pond plants and then multiplying fast in our warm outdoor water. We carry this concentrated Argusol because its diflubenzuron formula targets these larger external parasites at the moulting stage, breaking the cycle rather than just knocking back the adults you can see.
Treatment runs over several days, and the instructions call for turning off UV filtration for a stretch and aerating the pond well throughout, which is essential in our climate where warm water already sits low on dissolved oxygen. Dose against the actual pond volume, not a guess, and keep watching the fish, since heavy infestations sometimes warrant a carefully timed second course once you have confirmed the diagnosis.
We suggest reading our parasite identification guide and our quarantine protocol to catch new arrivals early, and browse related koi treatments in our conditioners and medication range.
