1st Dose should be administered BEFORE 0700hrs in the morning.
2nd Dose should be administered AFTER 2030hrs in the evening.
Treatment should be administered for a minimum of 12 days, but should not exceed 22 days.
Do not overdose!
Do not skip treatment schedules as this will prolong treatment.
RES-Q-MED crystals can cause irritation if contacted with corals.
For this reason, RES-Q-MED should be added in a high flow area away from corals such as your sump.
Always dissolve RES-Q-MED in 200ml of RO/DI water and immediately add this solution into your aquarium.
Please refer to the instructions for the dosage.
In the event of an overdose, immediately add activated carbon to neutralize the product.
Using Res Q Med for White Spot and Velvet
Res Q Med is a marine treatment aimed at white spot and velvet, two of the most common parasitic problems reef-keepers face. What sets it apart is that it is formulated to be used within a display where corals and invertebrates are present, rather than only in a bare hospital tank, which is why so many marine hobbyists keep a bottle on hand. As with any treatment, it works best caught early, the moment you notice flicking, scratching or a dusting on the fins.
Follow the directions exactly. Treatments like this generally require pausing UV sterilisers, ozone and activated carbon during dosing so the active ingredient is not stripped out, though protein skimming can usually continue. In Singapore’s warm tanks, parasites cycle quickly, so prompt action and completing the full course are what give fish the best chance. We make no medical guarantees; quarantine and good husbandry remain your first line of defence.
