The animal protein supports growth and breeding condition, while the mineral content feeds shell development that matters so much around moulting. In a soft-water SG shrimp tank, steady nutrition like this helps a colony hold colour and keep producing healthy young.

Shrimp eat little and slowly, so we always advise feeding a small amount that the colony clears within a few hours and removing leftovers, since uneaten food fouls fast in our warm water and can spike a delicate nano tank. A feeding dish keeps the food in one spot and makes scraps easy to lift out. Vary the menu across the week so they get both protein and greens rather than one alone.
