Each Kusri piece is picked at random, so the wood you receive carries its own twists, branching and grain rather than a uniform shape. We see this as a feature for nature-style and rustic layouts where asymmetry reads more natural. Because it is a random pick, plan your hardscape around the piece once it arrives instead of forcing it into a fixed sketch, and dry-fit it against your stones and substrate line before any water goes in.

Fresh driftwood floats until it absorbs enough water, which can take days to weeks. We weigh ours down or boil smaller pieces to speed sinking, then soak to leach the first flush of tannins if a clear display is the goal. In our warm tanks a soft white biofilm often appears in the early weeks; it is harmless and usually grazed away by shrimp and otos, fading as the tank matures.
