We use it to clad backgrounds and hardscape edges so the setup reads like a real slice of tropical woodland rather than bare glass. Because it holds moisture and texture, epiphytes and mosses attach and creep across it readily in our warm, damp conditions.

It doubles as a floating raft for semi-aquatic residents, giving aquatic turtles, newts, frogs and mudskippers a dry haul-out spot above the waterline. We suggest a gentle rinse and a soak before use so it settles and any loose debris is washed off first.
