Driftwood

Driftwood is the backbone of most planted and biotope aquascapes, and we keep a wide range in stock for Singapore hobbyists — from fine spider wood for nano tanks to large Malayan driftwood centrepieces, plus manzanita, dragon wood, cholla, sumatra and bonsai-style pieces. Whatever scale you're scaping, there's a shape here to build around. A few things worth knowing in our climate: most aquascaping wood needs soaking before it stays submerged — fresh driftwood floats and can leach tannins that tint the water amber. In Singapore's warm tanks that tinting clears faster with regular water changes, and many aquascapers actually prize the soft blackwater look. New wood also grows a harmless white biofilm in its first weeks that shrimp, otos and snails happily graze off.
