TCulture Anubias barteri ‘Emerald Bloom’ for SG keepers

Emerald Bloom is a compact, bushy barteri selection that pushes out a dense crown of fresh emerald leaves, giving you the lush look of a full plant in a smaller footprint, handy for the nano and HDB-sized tanks so many local hobbyists run. As an epiphyte it belongs on hardscape, not in the soil; we attach the rhizome to driftwood or a piece of lava rock and let it grip on naturally over a few weeks rather than burying it.

This is about as beginner-proof as planted-tank life gets. It accepts a wide range of parameters, including our soft, lightly acidic SG tap water, tolerates low light, and needs no CO2 to look good. Because Anubias grows slowly, keep some flow across it and skip parking it under your brightest spotlight so the leaves stay clean in our warm 27-29C water. The dense growth doubles as grazing cover for shrimp and a refuge for shy fish.
