NF PR-01 Plant Rings for rooted aquarium plants

These plant rings are a simple, tidy way to feed heavy root-feeding plants where they actually take up nutrients, down at the substrate rather than dosed into the water column. Five rings per packet makes them easy to place under crypts, swords, and other rosette plants when you first plant a layout, or to tuck in later as an established carpet or feature plant starts to show signs of running low on nutrients.

For planted-tank keepers here, substrate feeding pairs naturally with our soft, slightly acidic local tap water, which holds few minerals of its own. Push a ring into the substrate near the root mass and let it release slowly over weeks. Keep them clear of the open water and away from areas you disturb during cleaning, so the nutrients stay locked in the bed and do not feed algae on the glass instead.
