Mechanical filtration with the ANS Sock Holder and micron sock

This bracket clamps a filter sock neatly over the inflow in a sump or overflow, polishing the water by catching fine particulate before it recirculates. It fits glass up to 15mm thick and takes ANS Micron Sock S and M sizes, and ships with one free micron sock so you can run it straight away. For sump-based setups, a filter sock is the simplest way to pull out the suspended detritus that otherwise keeps water hazy.

The trade-off is maintenance: a sock loads up with waste and, in our warm climate, will start to smell and bypass if left too long, so rinse or swap it every few days rather than weekly. Keeping a spare on rotation means one is always drying while the other works. At 5.5 by 7 inches the holder suits most home and nano sump designs.
