Description
Removal of residual medications, discolouration of the water and high molecular organic impurities: high performance activated carbon for the use in aquarium filters.
To use: put the carbon in universal filter bag, rinse repeatedly under warm water, reflush cold. Embed in the filter.
Adjustment to pH 7: suitable for use in the pH range from 6.5 to 7.5, can be used immediately.
No release of algae-promoting phosphate to the water.

JBL Carbomec Activ Carbon for Singapore Aquariums
JBL Carbomec Activ is a high-performance activated carbon for pulling residual medication, tannin-stained water and dissolved organic impurities out of the tank. The phosphate-free formulation is the detail that matters most for local hobbyists, because cheap carbons can leach phosphate that fuels algae, and in our warm, bright climate algae needs no encouragement. This one clears discolouration and leftover treatment without quietly feeding a green bloom in the process.
We reach for it in specific situations rather than running it permanently: after a course of medication, to polish tannin-tinted water from fresh driftwood, or to lift a yellow cast. Rinse it thoroughly under warm then cold water before placing it in the supplied net bag in your filter. Carbon exhausts over time and stops adsorbing, so we swap it out after a few weeks rather than leaving spent media in the filter, where it simply takes up space that better biological media could use.
