The XP-15 is a compact hang-on-back filter rated around 270L/hr, which makes it a tidy choice for nano and small tanks where a canister would be overkill. We recommend HOB filters to customers who value easy access: the unit clips onto the rim, media sits within arm’s reach, and there’s no cabinet plumbing to prime. That simplicity suits the small shelf and desktop setups common in Singapore homes, and at 5.5W it barely registers on the bill.

A hang-on filter’s waterfall return also doubles as surface agitation, which helps with the oxygen exchange that matters in our warm 27-29C tanks.
