UP AQUA G-038 Rain Bar Unit for Gentle, Spread-Out Flow

The G-038 rain bar takes your canister return and breaks it into many small jets along its length, so flow falls across the surface like rain instead of one strong jet. It comes in 12/16mm and 16/22mm to match standard hose sizes. This spread is ideal when you want strong filter turnover without a current that flattens delicate plants or pushes shy fish around an HDB nano or mid-size tank.

The many outlets create steady surface agitation, which is genuinely useful in our 27-29C climate where warm water carries less oxygen, especially at night. Mount the bar just at or above the waterline and angle the holes to dimple the surface evenly across the tank. If you inject CO2, raise the bar slightly during photoperiod so you keep gas in solution while still gaining oxygen exchange after lights-out.
