Shirakura Ebi Dama for Dwarf Shrimp

Shirakura Ebi Dama is a pressed pellet-style shrimp food, the firmer counterpart to the brand’s powdered Ebi Chi. Aimed at adult Caridina and Neocaridina, the dama holds its shape on the substrate so a colony can graze on it over a period without it dissolving instantly. We find it a reliable staple that draws shrimp out into the open, which is half the fun of keeping them.

Drop one piece for a modest colony and let the shrimp swarm it; remove any uneaten remains after a few hours so it does not foul the water in our warm tanks. Feeding every other day rather than daily keeps TDS stable and discourages planaria and snail blooms. A feeding dish makes cleanup easy and lets you gauge how much the colony actually wants.
