Shirakura Ebi Dama as a staple in Singapore shrimp tanks

Ebi Dama is a long-standing favourite among the Caridina and Neocaridina keepers we serve, and although it is listed broadly as fish food it is best known as a shrimp staple. The hard pellet sinks and holds together rather than clouding the water, so a colony can graze on it over time without fouling a small nano tank. That slow breakdown is exactly what you want in our warm water, where soft food disappears fast.

We suggest feeding a single pellet to a small group and removing whatever is left after a few hours, since shrimp eat little and steady feeding keeps water parameters stable, which sensitive bee shrimp reward you for. The grazing also draws shrimp into the open, making colour and behaviour easier to enjoy. Keep the tub sealed against Singapore humidity so pellets stay firm.
